It's white whereas the photo suggests a tint of cream/yellow. Bought it for my 14 year old son who is growing rapdidly so doubt this Judogi will be around for long, hence th need for a low price kit. Bonus is that the trousers have both elastic and draw strings as opposed to the traditional draw strings which is a big hit with him.
Washed once a didn't lose too much due to shrinkage, but only time will tell as often it is after reapeated washes that the truth it's in terms of shrinkage. For £22 no complaints here
